1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Canopy Current website at canopycurrent.biz or by submitting an enquiry, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

2. About our services

Canopy Current is based at 53 Rachadamnoen Road, Wiang, Mueang, Chiang Rai 57000, Thailand. We offer three outdoor activities in the Chiang Rai region:

  • Forest & Waterfall Walk (Small Group) — a guided half-day walk to waterfall sites, with swim stops where conditions allow. Includes guide, light snacks, water, and round-trip transfer. Priced at ฿5,900 per person.
  • Rural House Stay (2 nights) — accommodation in a restored rural property with breakfast, bicycles, and a local guide to nearby areas. Priced at ฿9,800 per booking.
  • River Kayak & Wetsuit Rental (Daily) — daily hire of a sit-on-top kayak with paddle, wetsuit top, and dry bag, including a launch briefing. Priced at ฿3,800 per day.

All activities are subject to availability, weather conditions, and operational suitability on the day.

3. Eligibility and user obligations

You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. Participants under 18 may take part only with the consent and supervision of a responsible adult who has made the booking.

When using this site or booking a service, you agree to provide accurate information and to follow reasonable instructions from our guides and hosts regarding safety and conduct.

4. Bookings and payments

Enquiries submitted through the website are not confirmed bookings. A booking is confirmed only when we contact you by email or phone to confirm availability and you receive written confirmation from us.

Prices are listed in Thai Baht (฿). Payment instructions are provided at the time of confirmation. Prices shown on the website are indicative and subject to change without prior notice, though confirmed bookings will not be repriced.

5. Cancellations, changes, and refunds

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking:

  • Cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled activity: we will attempt to reschedule at no extra cost rather than retain payment. If rescheduling is not possible, a partial refund may apply at our discretion.

If Canopy Current cancels an activity due to weather, trail conditions, or other circumstances outside our control, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional charge.

We may make adjustments to routes, equipment, or scheduling where necessary for safety or operational reasons. Where a significant change is unavoidable, we will notify you promptly.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, images, layout, and branding — is the property of Canopy Current or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any part of this content without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reference.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website to:

  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Interfere with the technical operation of the site
  • Collect personal data about other users
  • Conduct any activity that is unlawful under Thai law or the laws of your home country

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Canopy Current takes reasonable precautions to manage these risks, but we cannot eliminate them entirely. Participants take part at their own risk, with awareness of the physical demands and conditions involved.

To the extent permitted under applicable law, Canopy Current is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in activities where the participant has acted contrary to our guides' instructions, or where the loss results from circumstances genuinely outside our control.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Third-party links

Our site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. Visiting a linked site is at your own discretion.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from use of our services or this website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Rai, Thailand, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
