Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 3 June 2025
1. Our commitment
Canopy Current is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible. We want everyone who visits — regardless of ability, device, or how they browse the web — to be able to find information about our activities and get in touch with us.
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This statement describes what we've done, where we stand, and how to reach us if something isn't working for you.
2. Conformance target
Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This is a widely used international standard for web accessibility. It covers requirements for perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness of web content.
3. Measures we've taken
The following measures are in place across our website:
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading structure, landmark regions (
<header>,<main>,<footer>,<nav>), and appropriate HTML elements throughout. - Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — links, buttons, form fields, accordion items — are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone. Focus order follows the visual layout.
- Colour contrast: Text and interface colours are chosen to meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their backgrounds, as required by WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Reduced motion: Animations and transitions are suppressed for users who have enabled the "reduce motion" system preference. Content is visible without any animation.
- Descriptive alt text: All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text. Decorative elements are marked with empty alt attributes or
aria-hidden. - Labelled form controls: All form fields have associated labels, either explicitly or via
aria-label. Required fields are marked. - Dialog accessibility: The cookie consent dialog is focusable, can be closed with the Escape key, and uses appropriate ARIA roles.
- Responsive design: The site works across a wide range of screen sizes and device types without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.
4. Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas that may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA at this time:
- Third-party map embed: The Google Maps iframe included on our homepage is a third-party element outside our direct control. Its accessibility depends on Google's implementation. For directions or location information in an accessible format, please contact us directly.
- Legacy content: Some older content uploaded as PDFs or images may not include full accessibility features. We address these on a case-by-case basis when identified.
We actively work to reduce these gaps. If you encounter a barrier that isn't listed here, please let us know.
5. How to report an accessibility issue
If you find something on our site that is difficult or impossible to use, we want to know. Please contact us using any of the methods below and describe the problem as clearly as you can, including what page you were on and what browser or device you were using.
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: +66 92 617 3580
- Address: 53 Rachadamnoen Road, Wiang, Mueang, Chiang Rai 57000, Thailand
